The artist
I'm Elise Hart — a Sydney-based makeup artist specialising in bridal and editorial work. After a decade in fashion beauty, I founded Satin Ink to offer something I felt was missing: luxury makeup that feels light on the skin and looks effortless in person and on camera.
My approach is collaborative. We start with your dress, venue, and skin — not a Pinterest board of someone else's face. Whether you're planning a vineyard wedding in the Hunter or a harbour-side ceremony, I arrive prepared, calm, and focused on making you feel like the best version of you.
Kind words
Feedback from weddings, trials, and editorial sessions across Sydney and regional NSW.
★★★★★"Elise made me feel so calm on the morning of our wedding. The makeup lasted through tears, dancing, and a very warm December reception. I still looked like me — just glowing."
— Charlotte W., Palm Beach wedding
★★★★★"We booked the full bridal package and it was seamless. Trial was thorough, bridesmaids looked cohesive but not identical, and Elise was done ahead of schedule. Worth every cent."
— Michelle & David, Bowral
★★★★★"I've worked with Elise on three editorial shoots. She understands lighting, she moves fast, and she never overdoes it. My go-to MUA for campaign work in Sydney."
— Nina R., Fashion photographer

Common questions
Peak season (September–April) dates in Sydney often book 12–18 months ahead. Enquire early — I'll hold your date for 7 days once we've confirmed availability and package details.
Yes — regularly throughout NSW, Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, and Southern Highlands. Travel beyond 50km is charged at $0.85/km or a flat destination fee for multi-day events.
A full 90-minute session where we test skin prep, base, eyes, and lip. I document the final look with photos and provide a product list. One revision tweak is included if you'd like adjustments before the wedding.
Absolutely. I carry hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic products and am experienced with dermatologist-guided routines. Share any concerns at enquiry stage so I can plan accordingly.
I allow 45 minutes per additional face and recommend no more than 5–6 before the bride on a standard timeline. For larger parties, I work with a trusted assistant MUA — just ask.
